"Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links" Goes GX Crazy with New Cards and Characters
Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links, the obligatory smartphone tie-in game for the popular cardfighting anime and — card fight — is stepping into the next generation. Specifically, it’s updating its content to include new GX content… both cards and characters.
A US-side trailer shows off 100 new cards to find and collect in the app, as well as some in-game action for select hands:
And a new Japanese trailer hails the arrival of four GX characters in the game: Jyudai Yuki (Jaden Yuki), Jun Manjoume (Chazz Princeton), Edo Phoenix (Aster Phoenix), and Asuka Tenjoin (Alexis Rhodes). We also see a glimpse of Elemento HERO Neos in action, plus a promise of a new storyline.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links launched last year in Japan and early this year worldwide, couched in the concept of being a “virtual arena” created by Kaiba to find the world’s best duelists. Unlike many other imported free-to-play apps, this one tends not to have wait time between Japanese and worldwide content roll-outs.
The app is available to play free on both iOS and Android.
