Stripping Idol Manga Gets App
The shōjo magazine LaLa is celebrating its 40th anniversary, while the media company Pony Canyon is celebrating its 50th anniversary. In honor of the occasion, the companies are teaming up to produce a smartphone app based on one of LaLa‘s manga, Idol D・T・I.
“The secret in the midst of darkness”
Idol D・T・I is set in a world where idols are judged by their “DTI” (datsui), or their ability to strip. The idols that can put on the best stripshow have the biggest fan followings. The main characters, who are members of the idol group Candle, even have supernatural stripping powers: Akari Hinose can make his clothes vanish with a wand, and Mikoto Kugane can make them disappear with a bath of light. In the app, tentatively called Idol D・T・I: The High-Speed Stripping Raising Rhythm Game, players tap the screen along with a rhythm to make the idols take off their clothes. New characters and songs become available depending on rankings and points.
“Take ’em off! Take ’em off!! Take ’em off and throw ’em around!!”
Taku Yashiro, who will play Akari, says “I’ll be getting cold now, but if everyone else strips along with me I’ll do my best to make a hot game!” Tasuku Hatanaka, who will play Mikoto, certainly got into the spirit: “I don’t feel like wearing clothes! I want to act like I want to take them off, take them off, take them all off!! Full speed ahead!” Other voice actors include Kazuki Narumi (Kaito Aizaki), Daiki Hamano (Shion Fukamura), Natsuki Hanae (Mitsutaka Sakurashiranami), and Takehito Koyasu (Hisuimaru Hōshō).
“Don’t get burned by looking at me.”
Idol D・T・I: The High-Speed Stripping Raising Rhythm Game will release in the spring.
“You bind me… Your sight binds me…”
