Live-Action "Fullmetal Alchemist" Full Trailer Reveals Theme Song by MISIA, Al’s Voice by Atomu Mizuishi
Finally, the official website for the upcoming live-action film adaptation of Hiromu Arakawa’s Hagane no Renkinjutsushi/Fullmetal Alchemist manga today released a 90-second full trailer introducing its theme song “Kimi no Soba ni Iruyo” (I will be beside you) performed by 39-year-old Japanese female singer MISIA and the voice of Alphonse Elric played by 21-year-old actor Atomu Mizuishi for the first time.
As reported, MISIA has been a big fan of Arakawa’s original manga and “Kimi no Soba ni Iruyo” is set to be released as her 40th single in Japan on November 29. Meanwhile, Mizuishi was originally hired as a motion capture actor for the CGI-created Al, then was chosen to voice the character because the level of his acting was so perfect.

In addition, a web-version promotional poster featuring the main characters except Edward Elric played
by 23-year-old Ryosuke Yamada (a member of Japanese idol group Hey! Say! JUMP) was also revealed.
His agency Johnny & Associates has not allowed any internet media to use images of its idols, probably
that’s the reason why his Ed is omitted from the web poster visual.
