"Hakumei and Mikochi" Trailer Explores a Tiny Little Life in the Woods
Big news for small woodland girls: a new trailer and the main cast and staff have been revealed for Hakumei and Mikochi – Tiny little life in the woods, an upcoming TV anime based on the “healing” manga by Takuto Kashiki about the daily lives of 9 centimeter tall girls who make the forest their home.

The main cast for Hakumei and Mikochi includes:
Risae Matsuda as Hakumei. Hakumei is a cheerful girl who likes to be outdoors. She works in a repair show and is good with her hands, but she is not good at swimming (she sinks like a hammer).
Shino Shimoji as Mikochi. Mikochi is contemplative and prefers to be indoors. Her work includes making preserved foods and other daily necessities, which she later sells wholesale to shops.
Aoi Yūki as Konju. Konju works as a minstrel, and she plays her harp in the streets and in stores.
And Chika Anzai as Sen, a girl who lives in the swamp in the east of Makinata and who works as a researcher. Sen is doing research on life, and she lives in the skeleton of a tortoise that she calls “George”. She’s a bit too obsessed with bones, and she can be a bit of a bother.
Hakumei and Mikochi – Tiny little life in the woods will begin broadcasting in Japan in January of 2018.
