Whether he’s illustrating more ethereal designs for the RPG series’ characters, crafting imposing Magitek Armor, or even side-stepping to cover the gothic extravagance of Vampire Hunter D, his style is unmistakable. French publisher Mana Books took the release of official series encyclopedia Final Fantasy Memorial Ultimania as an opportunity to follow the renowned artist in a short documentary titled Amano – his universe, on paper.
