Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE! LOVE! Hot Spring Tour Sells Out in 24 Hours
The VEPPer twins of Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE! LOVE! are selling out tour dates. The fictional characters Akihiko Beppu and Haruhiko Beppu are holding their second tour on December 9-10 at Beppu City in Oita prefecture, a popular spa resort. The stage event includes the character’s corresponding voice actors Keisuke Koumoto and Yoshiki Murakami.
Excited fans snatched up tickets for the two-night experience within 24 hours. Each ticket ranges in price between 42,000 yen to 52,500 yen. Single day tickets for December 10 only are still available for 22,000 yen.
Last year’s tour was a day trip to Beppu City by bus.
When the series isn’t focusing on magical boy hijinks, its characters hang around in Yumoto Hakone family’s bath house. The onsen theme reoccurs throughout the series’ characters’ names. For instance, Yumoto’s name is literally from Yumoto City, Hakone, a famous hot spring area. This shines some light on why an anime event is taking place at a hot spring resort, of all places.
The “concluding chapter” of the Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE! magical boy anime series is an OVA, subtitled “Ai to Seishun no Sotsugyō!” (The Graduation of Love and Youth), and it screened in eight Japanese theaters from August 26 to September 15.
The first Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE! television anime season premiered in Japan in January 2015. Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Viewster streamed the anime as it aired in Japan. Ponycan USA released the series on DVD and Blu-ray Disc combo packs. The second anime, Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE! LOVE!, premiered in Japan in July 2016. Funimation and Crunchyroll both streamed the series as it aired in Japan.
