Catherine: Full Body Game Reveals Promo Video, Western Release
Atlus opened a full website for its Catherine: Full Body game and began streaming the first promotional video on Friday. The company revealed new information about the game in a livestream on Friday. The video previews Aya Hirano as the new “third Catherine” character Rin.
Atlus U.S.A. also announced on Friday that the game will get a release in North American and Europe. The company will reveal the release platforms and dates in the future.
Atlus revealed the game for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in Japan on Tuesday. Atlus‘ Studio Zero division is developing the mature romantic action-adventure puzzle game. Rin is a new love interest for Vincent with distinct storyline elements and additional puzzle content. The game will also have new storyline elements for Catherine and Katherine.
Atlus teased in a livestream in September that Studio Zero is developing a new Catherine game. In the livestream, Trisha appeared as the “host” of the “Golden Employment Special,” just as she hosts the “Golden Playhouse” television program in the game.
Atlus released its mature action-adventure/puzzle game Catherine for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2011. Atlus USA released game in North America in 2011, and it also shipped in Europe and Australia in 2012. The game was a collaboration between Atlus and the Genius Party animators at Studio 4°C. The game shared notable staff with Atlus‘ Persona series, including director and producer Hashino, character designer Shigenori Soejima, and composer Shoji Meguro. Studio 4°C produced the animated sequences.
Hashino is heading Atlus‘ new Studio Zero division. The division is also developing a new fantasy role-playing game project codenamed Project Re Fantasy: A Fool’s Journey Begins.
