Voice Actor Miyu Irino to Go on Hiatus for Studying Abroad
28-year-old anime voice actor Miyu Irino announced on his official blog on November 30 that he will take hiatus from his professional activities for a while for studying abroad after his solo concerts in January 2017. He released his second album “DARE TO DREAM” from Kiramune also yesterday, and is scheduled to hold three solo live concerts on January 7, 11 and 12, 2017. He says it will be a “journey” for his current and future activities, not retirement, and he will return sooner than people expect.
He is well known as Haku in Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi/Spirited Away, Jinta “Jintan” Yadomi in Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day, Akito Hyuga in Code Geass: Akito the Exiled, Todomatsu Matsuno in Osomatsu-san/Mr.Osomatsu, and many more. One concern among fans is if he will return for the possible (not officially announced yet) second season of Osomatsu-san. If not, the production company may need his replacement.
