"Universal Jump Summer" Adds "Gintama" and "JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure" To Line-Up
Universal Studios Japan and Shueisha are once again teaming up for “Universal Jump Summer”, a spectacular summer event at the Osaka amusement park that propels visitors into the worlds of some of Weekly Shōnen Jump‘s most popular and enduring manga, and this time two new additions have been added to the line-up: Hideaki Sorachi’s Gintama and Hirohiko Araki’s JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.
Previous versions of the summer event have focused on Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball Z and Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece. This year’s “Universal Jump Summer” will also last longer, running from June 20 – October 01, 2017, for a total of 94 days compared to the previous year’s 66 day run.
Additionally, the One Piece Premier Show, a live stage attraction at Universal Studios Japan featuring characters from Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece manga and anime, is celebrating the 10 year anniversary of its run. So far, over 1 million guests have experienced the show.
