Tokyo University of the Arts’ Graduate Student Anime Shorts Screen in Yokohama on October 31
The Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School of Film and New Media announced the program on October 18 for its upcoming “Animation on Marine Tower” event in Bashamichi, Yokohama. The annual program shows the animation shorts made by the school’s current and former graduate students who are majoring in animation or who have completed the program.
This year’s event will have three different programs of shorts, for a total of 19 shorts. One of the shorts that will screen is the ending credits sequence for the Mob Psycho 100 television anime, made by Miyo Satō. Satō hand animated the sequence using paint-on-glass techniques. She is herself a graduate of the school.
The school holds the “Animation on Marine Tower” event annually. During the event, animation shorts by students are projected onto a wall for viewing. The event will be held on October 31 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The 19 shorts will all screen between 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and will then screen again from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
