"Hayate the Combat Butler" Manga Entering Final Phase
There’s no shortage of Hayate the Combat Butler media out there; even so, the fact that it’s about to end will strike many fans as being far too soon.
The final chapter of Kenjiro Hata’s genre-savvy, heavily referential manga series has officially begun in the most recent Weekly Shonen Sunday, Volume 51. The manga has run in the magazine for 49 chapters, starting in October 2004.
The manga, about a poor boy who inadvertently becomes butler to a rich fangirl named Nagi and ends up becoming embroiled in everything from love triangles to butler battles, was also adapted into an anime spanning four series. While technically a shonen manga, it referenced everything from classic anime to shoujo series to American dramas.
There is no word on how long the final chapter will run, but look forward to seeing an exciting finale unfole.
