"Final Fantasy" Celebrates 30th Anniversary with Stage Recital
The Final Fantasy JRPG series is celebrating its 30th anniversary, and what better way to commemorate three decades of outstanding fantasy video games than with a special stage recital featuring five famous voice actors as the heroes and villains of some of the most popular entries in the series?
The performance is entitled Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary Voice Actors Live Dissidia Final Fantasy Secretum -Himitsu-, and it will run for two performances on December 18 and 19, 2017, at the Nakano Sun Plaza Hall venue in Nakano Ward, Tokyo, Japan. The dramatic reading features the voice talents of:
Takahiro Sakurai as Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.
Toshiyuki Morikawa as Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII.
Hideo Ishikawa as Squall Leonhart from Final Fantasy VIII.
And Masakazu Morita as Tidus from Final Fantasy X. Yūki Ono is also cast as a mysterious youth who serves as the main character in the recital. The recital is scheduled to last for approximately 110 minutes.
Advance tickets to the recital are available through the Square Enix e-Store website until October 01, 2017. The tickets range in price from 7900 yen ($70.54 US) plus tax for standard seating to 13,700 yen ($122.33 US) for the premium ticket package. The premium ticket package includes a script for the recital and a Bluray or DVD copy of the performance as a bonus.
