FanimeCon Hosts Voice Actor Hideo Ishikawa
California convention FanimeCon announced on Friday that that it will host voice actor Hideo Ishikawa as a guest.
Hideo Ishikawa initially trained in opera, but later turned to voice acting. Ishikawa is affiliated with Aoni Production and has voiced roles in more than 50 anime, including Bleach‘s Jushiro Ukitake, Naruto‘s Itachi Uchiha, Death Note‘s Hideki Ide, and Slam Dunk‘s Kiccho Fukuda. He has also played notable roles in video games, such as Auron in Final Fantasy X and Kingdom Hearts, Yugo in three Bloody Roar games, and Housei Toki in La Corda d’Oro.
This will be Ishikawa’s first time in the continental United States, although he attended Kawaii Kon in Hawaii in 2010.
FanimeCon will also host singer Kanae Itō, author Gilles Poitras, voice actress Lauren Landa, and voice actor Chris Cason. The convention will take place from May 26 to May 29 at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, California.
