Encouragement of Climb’s Official Fan Meeting Teased With “Important Announcement”
The staff of the anime adaptation of Shiro’s Encouragement of Climb manga announced at a “premium screening” on Sunday that the anime will get a “official fan meeting” on June 3, and the event will have an “important announcement.” The anime’s website previously announced that the premium screening would itself have a big announcement.
The fan meeting will take place in Hannō, Saitama, the setting of the anime. Yuka Iguchi (the voice of Aoi) and Kana Asumi (Hinata) will perform at the event.
The manga and anime tell the story of childhood friends: Aoi, a girl who prefers staying inside and who has acrophobia, and Hinata, a girl who loves mountains. The two decide to climb a mountain in order to once again see the morning sun from its peak as they did when they were young.
8-Bit adapted the manga into a television anime. The first season premiered in 2013, and the second season premiered in 2014. Crunchyroll streamed both series as they aired in Japan.
