"Eliza and Old Norton" Brings the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance to Kindle
3DCG studio Polygon Pictures is branching out into something a little flatter: publishing. Specifically, they’re releasing their first e-books via Amazon’s Kindle Direct service, starting with the new YA title Eliza and Old Norton.
Written by up-and-coming novelist Norio Takaya, the story takes place in Fujimi-cho in 1990. Eliza, an exchange student, discovers a 1937 Norton 500 owned by an old Englishman. She approaches her school’s classic car club for help repairing it, through which she meets her new friend, Aiko. Love, friendship, and conflict are explored by the pastime of motorcycle restoration.
The interior art was drawn by Yuki Moriyama (Blame!, Knights of Sidonia) and Naoya Tanaka (Porco Rosso, Spirited Away) of Polygon Pictures, with cover art also by Moriyama.
Eliza and Old Norton is currently available to buy from Amazon Japan for 480 yen.
