Detective Conan Cracks the Case of "Puyo Puyo" in New Collaboration
Pwarp Island is missing its Green Puyo! Fortunately, Conan Edogawa is on hand to crack the case!
The smartphone game Puyo Puyo Quest!!, a mobile installment of the popular puzzle franchise, is kicking off a limited-run Detective Conan collaboration, featuring new cards and quests. Players can solve the Case of the Kidnapped Green Puyo, grab some crossover characters in a limited-time gacha event, and pick up some in-game and physical goods during the campaign.
The game has released in-game art of Conan and Ran, chibi-fied for the game. The collaboration’s official site seems to hint at more characters joining the fray in future, with a line of question marks following the pair under the character section.
A Twitter retweet campaign is also underway, with prizes including scouting tickets and in-game boosts.
Also run via the Twitter will be a lottery to pick up physical goods like SD plushes and pinback buttons.
Puyo Puyo Quest!! does not currently have an official Western release; however, for a time it was reskinned and distributed as Cranky Food Friends. The adaptation ended service last year.
The Detective Conan x Puyo Puyo Quest!! collaboration runs until September 8.
