Crunchyroll to Attend the Worldwide Premiere of “Blade Runner Black Out 2022” Anime in Japan
Blade Runner Black Out 2022 is a new and highly-anticipated animated short, directed by Cowboy Bebop’s Shinichiro Watanabe, and scored by Flying Lotus, which serves as a prologue for the upcoming feature film Blade Runner 2049… and Crunchyroll and VRV are the first places you can see it!
Blade Runner Black Out 2022 will be available first on Crunchyroll and VRV beginning on Tuesday 9/26 at 6:49am PST in regions worldwide except Asia.
Also on 9/26, at 8:49pm JST (4:49am PST), Blade Runner Black Out 2022 will get its worldwide debut screening, live in Tokyo, Japan, and the stars of the anime industry and beyond will be in attendance.
Shinichirō Watanabe (Director of Blade Runner Black Out 2022, also known for Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Shamploo)
Masao Maruyama (Producer, known for Paprika, Ninja Scroll, Death Note)
Kenji Kamiyama (Director, known for Duck Tales, Eden of the East, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex)
Shinji Aramaki (Designer on Blade Runner Black Out 2022, also known for Macross and Appleseed)
Yu Kiyozono (Producer, known for Lupin III)
Additional guests who might also be in attendance include, Hideo Kojima, the creator of the Metal Gear Solid series, and Shinji Mikami, the creator of the Resident Evil series.
Crunchyroll will be in attendance at this exclusive event and will be filming pre-event activities, along with interviewing some of the cast and guests at the premiere.
