Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~ Franchise Casts Saori Hayami as Cardia
The official staff blog for Otomate, Idea Factory‘s brand of games for female players, announced on Tuesday that Saori Hayami (My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU‘s Yukino, Sound! Euphonium‘s Haruka) is joining the Code:Realize franchise to play the protagonist Cardia.
While the announcement didn’t specifically state that Hayami would be voicing Cardia in the previously announced anime adaptation of Otomate’s Code:Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth visual novel, the announcement did state that Idea Factory decided on Hayami as Cardia together alongside the team producing the anime.
The franchise is also getting an event in Kawasaki city on April 23.
Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~ originally shipped in Japan for the PlayStation Vita in 2014. The game features a steampunk aesthetic and a cast of literary and historical figures, including Arsène Lupin, Abraham Van Helsing, Victor Frankenstein, Impey Barbicane, and Count Saint-Germain.
Video game publisher Aksys Games released the original game from Idea Factory and Design Factory in North America and Europe in October 2015.
The game received a fandisc titled Code:Realize ~Shukufuku no Mirai~ for the PS Vita in Japan on November 24, and Aksys Games announced in July it plans to release the fandisc in English in 2017.
