Arisa Mizuki Stars in "Beautiful Bones -Sakurako’s Investigation-" TV Drama
Actress Arisa Mizuki will star in a live-action TV drama adaptation based on Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni wa Shitai ga Umatteiru (“A Corpse is Buried Under Sakurako’s Feet”), a series of mystery light novels written by Shiori Ōta and illustrated by Tetsuo that is known in English as Beautiful Bones -Sakurako’s Investigation-.
The new TV series is directed by Yuichi Sato and Daiden Yamauchi and features screenplays by Junpei Yamaoka. It will broadcast on Fuji TV on Sundays during the 21:00 time slot (9:00 PM JST) beginning in April of 2017.
The original light novels are published by Kadokawa Shoten under their Kadokawa Bunko imprint. Beautiful Bones -Sakurako’s Investigation- has also been adapted into 2015 TV anime with direction by Makoto Katō and animation by Troyca. The TV anime is currently available via streaming on Crunchyroll, who describe the story of Beautiful Bones -Sakurako’s Investigation- as follows:
“The story centers around high school student Shotaro Tatewaki and the beautiful Sakurako Kujo, who loves beautiful bones. Due to the nature of her interests, the two of them are involved in all kinds of incidents involving bones.”
