A Quartet of Classmates Joins the Cast of "Gakuen Babysitters"
Four more cast members have been revealed for Gakuen Babysitters, an upcoming TV anime based on the “heartful” shōjo manga by Hari Tokeino about a young man who gets a crash course in childcare when he’s enlisted to act as a babysitter at a children’s academy.
The new cast members include:
- Satomi Akesaka as Maria Inomata.
- Toshiyuki Someya as Tomoya Yagi.
- Motohiro Ohta as Chuukichi Nezu.
- And Kaedo Hondo as Yuki Ushimaru.
The original Gakuen Babysitters manga is serialized in Hakusensha’s LaLa shōjo manga magazine. The story follows Ryuichi Kashima and his infant brother, Kotaro, who are orphaned when their parents die in a plane crash. The two brothers are taken in by Yoko Morinomiya, the director of a children’s academy who lost her adult son and her daughter-in-law in the same plane crash. Morinomiya agrees to become the legal guardian of the Kashima brothers until they are old enough to live on their own, but in exchange Ryuichi has to work as a baby-sitter at the Morinomiya Academy.
The Gakuen Babysitters TV anime is directed by Shūsei Morishita and features animation by Brain’s Base. The series will debut on Tokyo MX on January 07, 2018, with additional broadcasts to follow on Sun TV and BS11 beginning on January 09, 2018.
