19-Year-Old Ayami Nakajo to Star in "Fukumenkei Noise" Live-Action Film
Hakusensha today announced that 19-year-old fashion model/actress Ayami Nakajo will star as the protagonist Nino Arisugawa in the upcoming live-action film adaptation of Ryoko Fukuyama’s Fukumenkei Noise romance manga series. She has already started voice training to sing as the rock vocalist in the film since this August.
She won the Grand Prix in the Miss Seventeen contest in 2011, and has been working as a house model for Shueisha’s fashion magazine for female teenagers, Seventeen. Her first starring film was the live-action film adaptation of Koei Tecmo’s horror game series Zero/Fatal Frame in September 2014.
It is also confirmed 46-year-old Koichiro Miki, who recently worked on the live-action film adaptation of Hiro Arikawa (Library Wars)’s Shokubutsu Zukan love story novel, is attached to direct. Fukuyama is best known for her debut comedy series Nosatsu Junkie, that ran for 16 tankobon volumes
from 2003 to 2008. Her third serialization work in Hana to Yume, Fukumenteki Noise has been running
since 2013. Currently 10 tankobon volumes are available in Japan and the series has printed over one
The story focuses on the protagonist girl Nino Arisugawa who loves singing. She is always wearing a mask
because she can’t stop screaming when her feelings run high. She experienced two partings in her childhood,
one with Momo who was her first love, and another with Yuzu who was a song-writing boy. When she becomes
a high school student, the three finally meet again.
